I am a Los Angeles freelance filmmaker who is interested in, though not limited to, making films inspired by my many identities and experiences as Mexican-American, queer, and neuroscientist. I grew up in Boyle Heights and spent 20 years researching and teaching neuroendocrinology, as well as earning a PhD, before switching careers to documentary film. In 2014, I graduated from the Stanford University Documentary Film and Video MFA Program. For the past 5 years, I have worked and refined my skills in location sound mixing.
